Crisis Support Specialists are ready to help Helpline visitors cope with whatever they're experiencing. Specialists do not judge or tell visitors what they should do. LaFASA understands that survivors are the experts in their own lives.
LaFASA staff have varied office schedules, however they are consistently checking phone messages and emails.
For advocacy, counseling and recommendations, contact your local sexual assault program or contact our Helpline.
Survival (sur - viv - al) noun – continuing to exist, especially in spite of danger or hardship
Survivors are strong, resilient, and brave, but they cannot fight their battles alone. Survivors of sexual assault have endured unspeakable hardship and live with a wide array of dangers on a daily basis. LaFASA, Louisiana Foundation Against Sexual Assault, is the coalition agency that serves statewide sexual assault crisis centers through education, professional training, technical assistance, and community engagement resulting in safer, healthier, stronger, and better-informed communities throughout Louisiana. LaFASA also provides advocacy and legal services directly to survivors and cultivates prevention in our communities.
Our Mission
LaFASA is committed to empowering survivors, engaging advocates, and changing systems and social norms to end sexual violence in Louisiana.
